Srinagar, 6 February: Incarcerated Er Abdul Rashid lead Jammu Kashmir Awami Itehad Party expressed its displeasure over the chest thumping and obnoxious merrymaking by BJP and its allies for restoration of high speed mobile internet services in Kashmir. Terming mindset behind denying such kind of essential services even for medical and educational purposes over a period spanning about two years in todays age and time criminal, Party top brass reprimanded New Delhi to unconditionally repent and roll back al the unconstitutional decisions taken on August 5th, 2019. Party leadership without mincing any words criticised the lamentable policy of Government of India vis-a-vis Kashmir post 2014. They termed the repeated infantile experiments of BJP as juvenile in nature and demanded the current regime to stop toying with a sensitive issue like Kashmir. Party leader and Spokesperson lashed out at pro-BJP and pro-establishment politicians for singing praises of New Delhi over restoration of high speed internet. Ashai said,”BJP should thank its stars that they have gotten away with far too much for far too long in Kashmir. We outrightly refute false claims of Modi and ilk who have repeatedly taken refuge behind security concerns to defend their devilish moves. Ashai pointed out that how Reliance Jio run by corporates close to Modi establishment was given freehand to expand its operations across Jammu and Kashmir while Kashmiri citizens even students and doctors were not only denied such services but made to depend only on corporate Jio friends of BJP for high speed internet for majority of portion in last two years by present Government. He lashed out at Modi, and said “these people can go to any limits to serve their vested interests, what is happening in India today is a glaring example of political- moral; ideological bankruptcy of Modi and BJP”. Calling the digital clampdown of nearly five hundred fifty days as digital apartheid, Ashai claimed that such moves of Modi regime would go down in history books as a blot on Indian democracy. He claimed that restoration of high speed internet services at the time of increasing international attention over farm laws agitation in India is an acceptance of ground realities by current BJP regime. It is an acceptance of Modi’s defeat in failing to ram-down dictatorial decisions down peoples throats not only in Kashmir but also in mainland India. It is only a matter of time that present dispensation in New Delhi understands that they would have to reinstate and give back everything that was snatched from the Kashmiri nation on August 5th 2019 through undemocratic means ridiculing the constitution of India itself, AIP Spokesperson added.
