Srinagar, May 25: President Janata Dal United G. M Shaheen Tuesday said that new National Council and Executive members will be nominated after proper approval from the High Command.
Pertinently, JDU has rejected the resignation of its Jammu Kashmir based president GM Shaheen. The Central Leadership has asked Shaheen to continue as President of the party for J&K.
Shaheen after resigning from JDU had floated its own party ‘Jammu Kashmir Democratic Party’.
While addressing a press conference here in Srinagar, Shaheen said that Central High Command particularly Nitesh Kumar have reposed faith in him and asked him to continue as the President of JDU in Jammu and Kashmir.
“I want to inform you that JDU is intact and all its workers and members have showed faith in me and I am not going to disappoint them. Our party is for people and to mitigate the sufferings of the people is the main agenda of Janata Dal United,” Shaheen said.
He said JDU in Jammu and Kashmir will emerge a force to reckon with in coming time. “People are joining this party in large numbers. JDU assures them that this party will help them and try its best to resolve their problems,” he said.
