Appeals LG Administration to Streamline Hospital Functioning
Srinagar, June 19: Social Welfare Committee Zoonimar in Summer capital Srinagar has raised many questions about the functioning tertiary care hospital SKIMS Sours.
In a statement issued to CNS, committee mentioned that social activists of adjoining areas along with Chairman Social Welfare Committee have alleged about the malfunctioning of the hospital.
“Once the SKIMS is used to be seen as saviour but now if you go there you will get the death certificate” statement claimed.
According to them the conditions like unavailable of drugs, disposables and shortage of oxygen is compelling nearby people to go for treatment in other hospitals.
They also blamed that medical shops outside the SKIMS hospital are sucking the blood of poor people as the drug counter inside hospital has shortage of drugs.
Hospital administration is unmoved despite the fact that agents of these shopkeepers are inside the wards also” they lamented.
Meanwhile the welfare committee also alleged that during last two Covid waves hospital authorities have treated nobody except Covid patients.
At last they LG administration to take cognisance of the issues faced by poor patients in SKIMS and ensure its immediate redressal.
