‘Video being shared to malign the image of Ramban Police’
Ramban, Aug 29: District Police Ramban issues clarification with regard to ‘fake’ video being circulated on social media to malign the image of Ramban Police
District Police Ramban has come up with clarification regarding the video which has resurfaced on the social media in which a police officer is seen demanding bribe from
some persons in police station Ramban.
District police Ramban has maintained that the said video is ‘fake’ and made viral again with malicious intentions to malign the image of district police Ramban.
Police said that the said video was recorded months back by a person namely Dilbagh Singh S/O Ranjeet Singh relative of Ranjeet Singh who was involved in Case FIR NO 174/2020 U/S 462,323,504,506. The said person wanted to lodge a counter FIR on false allegations and fake evidences against the complainants of above said case.
The district chief of the Ramban took cognizance of the incident once the alleged video surfaced on the social media and the said officer was put under suspension and a departmental enquiry was initiated against the delinquent officer.
The video is being circulated with a malicious intention to discredit the image of Ramban Police. General public is requested not to pay heed to the rumours and check facts before sharing the content in social media.
